About Dr. Vee
Vee earned his Physician Assistant degree from Saint Louis University Medical Center, Missouri in 1986. The first 12 years of his career were with Kaiser Permanente, Portland; in Internal Medicine & Family Practice. He received additional postgraduate training at Alderson Broaddus College/West Virginia University (2000-2002), specializing in rural critical care & board certified in Emergency Medicine.
Mr. Yoong is a strong advocate of Preventive Medicine and self-care. He treats and manages a variety of acute care/ambulatory patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. His special interest includes Wilderness, Tropical & Travel Medicine. In addition to his current Oregon & Washington practices, he is also licensed and had worked in Alaska & Hawaii. Vee has experience working with people of multicultural backgrounds; speaks Mandarin, Cantonese & Malaysian languages.
When not at work, Vee enjoys photography, exploring the great outdoor of the Pacific Northwest, and cooking ethnic cuisines.
